Medical-Legal Case Review — OBMED Solutions Inc.

OBMED Solutions accepts a limited number of medical-legal case reviews each quarter. Engagements are evaluated for clinical fit and conflict of interest before acceptance. Both plaintiff and defense work are considered; pre-litigation screening reviews are also available.

Scope of review

Obstetric outcomes — labor management, shoulder dystocia, hemorrhage, hypertensive disease, neonatal injury
Gynecologic surgery — laparoscopic and open procedures, complications, informed consent
Office gynecology — diagnostic delay, screening, contraceptive management
Standard-of-care and causation analysis
Critique of opposing expert reports

Deliverables

Written merit-screening summary (informal, attorney work-product)
Formal written expert opinion when warranted
Deposition and trial testimony, scheduling permitting
Demonstrative exhibit consultation

Engagement note. A signed engagement letter and retainer are required before chart review begins. Conflicts are screened against prior engagements and known parties.

Fee structure

Hourly billing for record review, conference, and report preparation. Separate flat fees apply for deposition and trial testimony. A current fee schedule is provided with the engagement letter.

What this practice will not do

Offer opinions outside of OB/GYN training and active clinical practice
Modify opinions to accommodate the retaining party's theory of the case
Accept contingency-based compensation
